Mr. Muhammad Asad Ashfaq Tola read law from the University of London, where-after he commenced his post-graduate studies and completed the Bar Professional Training Course from the University of the West of England, Bristol and was subsequently called to the Bar of England and Wales from the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple. He also holds a certification in Civil and Commercial Mediation from the ADR Group, London; is enrolled with the Sindh Bar Council as an Advocate of the High Courts; and is also a member of the Karachi Tax Bar Association.

Mr. Tola’s expertise span across a wide range of subjects such as criminal, constitutional, taxation, commercial and elections law. He has extensive experience with both trial and appellate litigation matters and is regularly instructed to appear on behalf of various corporations, public authorities, law enforcement agencies, politicians and private individuals.

Mr. Tola has appeared in many high profile cases and has numerous reported judgments to his credit. He is often also appointed as a pauper counsel to appear on behalf of convicted prison inmates and as amicus to assist the courts in complex dispute resolution matters.

Mr. Hussain Idrees completed his LLB degree from the University of London in 2016. Soon thereafter he was enrolled as an Advocate with the Sindh Bar Council, permitted to appear and plead before the Lower and District Courts in 2017 and the High Courts in 2020. He regularly appears before the High Court of Sindh and possess quality expertise in dispute resolution in civil and criminal matters alike.

Mr. Rumain Qamar successfully completed his LLB – Bachelor of Laws from the University of London with Upper Second Class Honours (2:1) in August 2022. He joined the firm soon thereafter and secured a permanent placement as an Associate working directly with Mr. Haider Waheed.

Mr. Rumain is enrolled with the Sindh Bar Council as an Advocate of the Lower and District Courts and a member of the Karachi Bar Association. Ms. Eshal is a University of London graduate with expertise in various areas of law coupled with her vast experience in proceeding in the District and High Courts whilst assisting in the Superior Courts of Pakistan. Ms. Eshal has considerable experience in corporate & commercial litigation including representing clients in both civil and criminal. This includes drafting legal documents comprising petitions, suits, notices, opinions, agreements, and mergers, conducting legal research, presenting arguments, and negotiating settlements, etc.

Ms. Eshal in addition to her legal practice has dedicated her time and expertise to pro bono work, providing legal assistance to individuals who cannot afford representation. She has also actively engaged in human rights advocacy, working with organizations including the United Nations to promote and protect the rights of marginalized communities which has allowed her to make a positive impact and contribute to social justice.

Mr. Raahim Shuaib Abbasi holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from the University of London. As a student, Raahim conducted extensive academic research with a focus on Jurisprudence, Public International Law, and International Humanitarian Law. He endeavored to apply his academic background into a predominantly commercial playing field, and started his career at a major corporate law firm where he worked extensively on a number of transactional arrangements. Raahim has garnered exposure on a wide array of subject matter, including but not limited to commercial risk allocation, public private partnerships, policy considerations and international trade and legal practices. At HWP Law, Raahim assists the founding partner with legal research and preparation of court documents. Moula Bux is an Associate working in the Karachi office. He was Called to the Bar at the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple. Moula Bux works on contentious matters at the litigation and pre-litigation stages, including matters dealing with constitutional challenges, employment law, white collar crime, family law, and elections law.

Moula Bux wrote his LL.M thesis at Northumbria University, titled “Judgment from Above: Indian Appeals to the Privy Council and a Short Note on its Contract Law Jurisprudence”.

Mr. Razzak is a University of London graduate and a UK qualified Solicitor-at-Law who possesses considerable experience in both corporate and litigation matters. Mr. Mirza Moiz Baig  holds a Masters of Laws (LL.M.) from Harvard Law School, prior to which he received an undergraduate degree in law from the Lahore University of Management Sciences.

Mr. Baig has the distinction of having served as a Law clerk at the Supreme Court of Pakistan and as an associate to the Attorney General for Pakistan, where he had the opportunity to work on cutting edge constitutional disputes involving the disqualification of parliamentarians, judicial misconduct, and disputes emanating from the 18^th Constitutional Amendment.  Prior to joining this firm, Mr. Baig worked at a leading international arbitration firm in the Middle East.

Mr. Baig’s practice is complimented by his academic approach to the law. He is a public commentator on the politics of the law, featuring frequently across print and electronic media. Unsurprisingly, while he enjoys a challenge in every sphere of litigation, he has a particular interest in constitutional challenges to legislative and executive action. He has successfully represented some of Pakistan’s leading pharmaceutical companies against federal regulatory and taxation policies.  Mr. Baig also assists the firm’s Senior Partner, Mr. Muhammad Ahmed Masood, in a variety of matters spanning constitutional and commercial law, public procurement, customs, and civil disputes.

Mr. Syed Naveed Wasti completed his MBA in 2013, following which he acquired an L.L.B degree from the University of London. He joined the firm in 2020 and works under one of the firm’s Senior Partners, Mr. Muhammad Ahmed Masood. He has also been a part Harvard National Model United Nations (HNMUN), which is one of the world’s largest and most prestigious MUN competitions and prides itself on gathering delegates from more than 40 countries to discuss international affairs, pressing challenges and devise smart solutions thereto. Individuals who are passionate for becoming future diplomats are given an opportunity to be a part of this conference, Mr. Wasti being one of them.

Ms. Sohail acquired her LLB degree with honors through the University of London’s International Programme. She joined the firm as an associate for Mr. Ahmed Masood.

Ms. Sohail is enrolled with the Sindh Bar Council as an Advocate of the District Courts.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Sohail interned with a prestigious firm, where she had the opportunity of working on notable constitutional and human rights law cases, as well as pro bono cases pertaining to violence against minors.

She is frequently involved in assisting her seniors before the High Court of Sindh and District courts, including conducting research, preparing and drafting for cases mostly pertaining to criminal, civil, family, employment, building and land law.

Asad has been part of HWP Law since September, 2018 and is currently working with Mr. Abdul Moiz Jaferii. Asad appears before various provincial tribunals, district courts and the High Courts of Pakistan whereby he offers litigation services in the areas of construction disputes and proprietary rights, matters raising federal and provincial officers’ inaction challenged through constitutional petitions, defamatory civil suits for damages (filed against one of the leading media channels i.e. SAMAATV), and infringement of intellectual property rights. Asad has collaborated with Public Interest Law Association of Pakistan (PILAP) in the past, toensure fulfilment of fundamental rights for all citizens as enshrined by our Constitution, 1973.  Asad also offers corporate advisory to a private school (M/s Foundation Public School) and a public unlisted company (M/s Feroz Feeds), to highlight a few. These challenges usually cover labour issues and employment law regarding gratuity, unfair dismissal, vetting of employment terms and conditions along with any day to day issues encountered by these companies regarding their regulation by building and municipal authorities.

Asad teaches “Administrative law” to University of London’s International Programme students who are enrolled at SZABIST.

Asad was called to the Bar of England and Wales in July 2018. He is a member of the Honorable Society of Lincoln’s Inn and the High Court Bar Association. He has also successfully undertaken Alternate Dispute Resolution training and is an Accredited Mediator.
